[ENG] Beyond Publishing: Why You Must Rethink What "CMS" Even Means
For fifteen years, the CMS industry has built tools for one job: publishing content to a website. Meanwhile, every enterprise has quietly accumulated a parallel content universe - webinar recordings, internal knowledge-sharing sessions, sales calls, support tickets, training materials, customer Q&As. This knowledge sits in silos. It rarely makes it to the website. It almost never trains a chatbot, feeds a sales enablement system, or becomes a learning module - even when it should. AI just changed the economics of turning that knowledge into anything an enterprise needs: an article, a chatbot dataset, a knowledge base, a sales deck, a training course. The bottleneck is no longer creation. It's orchestration - knowing what content exists, where it sits, what context it carries, and how to route it to the right audience in the right format. This is not what today's CMS does. This talk argues that "content management" is about to be redefined: from a publishing tool into the operational backbone of how enterprises capture, contextualize, and deploy their own knowledge.
