WordPress can do quite a lot. But how are other plugins, applications, or AI agents supposed to know what it can do - and how to make use of those abilities? That's where the WordPress Abilities API comes riding to the rescue - a standardized way to define, discover, and expose what WordPress can do. In this talk, we'll explore what Abilities are, why they were introduced, and how to use them in practice. We'll build our own Ability, define its input and output, set permissions, and implement the execution logic. Expect code and practical examples!
